After dropping a powerhouse lineup back in September, Laneway is set to return in 2026 for its highly anticipated 21st anniversary. Year after year, the festival has cemented itself at the core of the indie music scene across Australia and New Zealand.
The response has been explosive - Melbourne and Sydney sold out rapidly, with other cities racing towards the same fate.
While headline heavyweights like Chappell Roan, Role Model, Pinkpantheress, and Wet Leg have already appeared in our coverage, with a lineup this extensive there’s so much more to discover on the upcoming bill.

Here are our must-sees at Laneway Festival 2026:
The Belair Lip Bombs
Melbourne four-piece are forging their own sonic path, fusing indie rock grit with classic 90’s grunge energy.

Your soon-to-be favourite pop supergroup. Dreamy synths and honest lyricism, their sound is self described as ‘angry sparkly pop chaos’.

Mt. Joy
This Philadelphia formed indie/alt group craft folk-infused anthems that leave you feeling like the protagonist of a bittersweet coming-of-age film.

Where R&B melts into indie-pop, Malcolm Todd explores the aches of heartbreak and self-discovery with unflinching vulnerability.

Gigi Perez
Exploring ideas of faith, grief, and identity, Gigi’s music navigates the complexities of the human experience within lush, emotional soundscapes.

With a dynamic, unpredictable sound that defies the notion of what modern bands are “supposed” to sound like - Geese deliver an experimental presence that borders on hypnotic.
Cavetown
From lo-fi bedroom pop to gentle ukulele ballads, Cavetown explores intimate themes of growing up, identity and mental health with delicate, unfiltered honesty.
