Live and music video director first, I started concert photography in 2022 to get to know my new camera better and fell in love with it (and with the camera too).
It eventually led me to join publications and shoot my favorite artists in the biggest venues in Paris. Now I'm known more as a photographer than a director, and I love both jobs !
My work revolves around a documentary style camera mixed with abstract visuals, strong color palettes, and an eye always on the lookout to freeze memories.
As a musician too (and a silent film movie buff) I like to see images as notes in a partition and music making as a directorial work, whether it's for social media or to create an ever lasting project.

I’m Sarah, a freelance music photographer from New Zealand who now lives in Germany! I live in the south of Germany, but I’m hoping to travel to gigs in lots of exciting places around Europe. When I’m not in the photo pit, I’m working full time as a research scientist.

I've spent the past couple of years shooting live gigs, concerts and festivals, focusing mainly on indie, rock and metal. I'm drawn to capturing intimate, cinematic moments on stage that reflect the atmosphere and character of a live performance.

In the past I have shot for publications but these days I shoot independently, photographing bands such as We are scientists, White Lies, The Amazons, The Darkness, Bloc Party, The Pigeon Detectives and Wolfmother.

When I'm not in the pit, I'm usually collecting vinyl or out hiking.
