YOUR STORY | Favorite Wide-Angle Shot

Welcome to "Your Story", an exciting series where the spotlight is on you, our vibrant community! In this series, we invite you to share your unique experiences, heartfelt anecdotes, and personal reflections on a variety of compelling topics. So join us in this collaborative journey! This months topic was "Show us your favorite wide-angle shot" and here are your stories!

I took this wide angle shot of Travis Scott at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina during his Circus Maximus Tour!

Couldn't decide between some shots and stories I could tell so sending you a couple of stories/photos.

Shooting Devilstone festival was always a thrilling experience. However, this time I came too close...literally. At one point during the concert the griff of this guitar touched the hood of my lens. That's when I knew I had to back off. Although the singer/guitarist later on told me that they weren't annoyed or anything. I guess they were in the zone just I like I was :)

Additional info: The band's name is Lysistrata and this was shot during Devilstone Festival in Lithuania

I am always eager to switch to my trusty 14-24mm lens. Getting the feel of the band. Trying to figure out if the artist loves to get in close and personal. Shooting mainly heavier music, this is the coveted wide angle shot - one foot on the monitor, guitar in hand, leaning in towards the camera and then... screaming into the crowd. I still keep a polaroid of this shot with the  artist's signature on it.

Additional info: Band's name is Evil Invaders and this was again shot during Devilstone Festival which was my favorite festival in my home country :)

Shooting at 17mm and capturing  the fantastic Bruise Control and all the energy from their 'set'.

This is one of my favorite wide photos from when Odesza headlined Bonnaroo in 2023. When I see this photo, I see all of the confetti and how energized the crowd is with their hands waving as they take in the set.

I love this wide photo of Odesza when they played at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville in 2023. One of the great things about seeing Odesza is the stage show that comes along with it. In this photo, you can see all of the pyro going off, with the drummers and the Odesza members in the back. It makes for a fun photo and truly captures the Odesza stage show.

My favorite wide-angle shot is from Phosphorescent's performance at Terminal West in May 2024. Phosphorescent kicked off the show with a solo, acoustic set that felt incredibly intimate. The audience was completely captivated and was hanging on every word. It was a performance I'll remember for many years to come.

THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR STORIES!

Stay tuned, the next topic

will be announced next month!
