The bridge between ‘Faith In The Future’ and ‘How Did I Get Here?’ is here and has a guitar heavy sound with potential to be a fan favorite at live shows. The easy to remember chorus is perfect for when the adrenaline is pumping through the veins while standing in the crowd with thousands of other fans.

Published on November 13th 2025 ‘Palaces’ is the second song from Louis Tomlinson’s upcoming album ‘How Did I Get Here?’ coming out on January 23rd. Some fans had the privilege of hearing it live before its release as he played it at his own Away From Home Festival. With lyrical comparisons like “deep in the jungle”, “through a tunnel of trouble” and “drag myself from the oasis” Louis sets the vibes for a night out, a glimmer of forbidden actions and music that inspires to dance.
As a guitar focused pop song, a perfect fit for playing the star of the instruments is Michael Blackwell, who has been a member of Louis’ band since the first world tour in 2022, therefore having played small venues as well as huge arenas. On the record Michael Blackwell was accompanied by Nicolas Rebscher, the producer who also worked on his previous single ‘Lemonade’. With Louis Tomlinson's upcoming third world tour How Did We Get Here? the vibe is set to differ from his first two albums, the latest one being more pop focused - something that he mentioned he has only recently been leaning more into.
To his fans Louis Tomlinson is known for his lyrical genius, immersive live shows and powerful bridges - with ‘Palaces’ being no exception. Right after the earworm inducing chorus, it seems like layers of instruments and sounds have almost been stripped away, bringing in a raw and vocally strong bridge, while simultaneously increasing the built up: “Every fuck up, every fight. Kings and Queens and borderlines. There's beauty in the scars tonight, and that's all I know”. Hearing this live might get just as loud as ‘Silver Tongues’ when it comes to the united singing and wave of power that floods through the crowd at Louis Tomlinson’s shows. Just like ‘Silver Tongues’ and ‘Out Of My System’, from his second album ‘Faith In The Future’, his latest single has got great potential to be one of the highlights on his tour. How much of a change the new album will be compared to ‘Faith In The Future’ can only be seen when ‘How Did I Get Here?’ comes out next year.
