The wait is over — the first wave of artists for Treefort Music Fest 2026 has landed, and it’s clear that Boise’s five-day city-wide celebration is gearing up for another unforgettable year.
Running March 25–29, 2026, Treefort is once again curating a kaleidoscopic lineup that reaches far beyond genre borders, with over 180 artists hailing from 12 countries and 29 U.S. states. From the Main Stage to the tiniest dive downtown, Boise is set to transform into a buzzing hub of sound, art, comedy, and community. And this is just the beginning — more waves are still to come.
Main Stage Magic and Global Sounds
Headlining the first drop is indie-folk icon Father John Misty, bringing his cinematic songwriting and sardonic charm to close out the Main Stage on Sunday (3/29). Joining him is Amber Mark, whose smooth, soulful R&B grooves will bring some serious swagger to the same night. St. Paul & The Broken Bones promise to turn Saturday into a soul revival, with their signature brass-fueled, high-voltage performance.
Fans of lush pop textures are in for a treat: Magdalena Bay return to Boise after their 2022 breakout set, ready to deliver a kaleidoscopic Main Stage show full of glitz, glitter, and surreal visuals. Meanwhile, Hemlocke Springs and INJI bring the next wave of vibrant pop innovation — both blending cheeky confidence, dance floor hooks, and infectious energy.
Geese will deliver their art-rock intensity and restless post-punk experimentation, while Florida’s flipturn are set to bring their radiant, emotional indie-rock anthems to the Main Stage on Thursday (3/26). And for those ready to shout it out, The Wonder Years will mark the 10th anniversary of "No Closer to Heaven" with a full-album live set — guaranteed catharsis for every emo heart in the crowd.

Our Personal Highlights: Hidden Gems and Rising Forces
As always, Treefort’s true magic lies in discovery — those sets you stumble into and never forget. Here are some of the acts we’re most excited about from this first lineup wave:
Witch Post — Fuzzy, riff-heavy garage-punk with occult flair; think grunge grit meets witchy energy.
The Belair Lip Bombs — Australian alt-rockers bringing sharp hooks and early-2000s spirit with a modern twist.
Chalk — Belfast’s post-punk newcomers deliver dark, propulsive beats and political bite — one of the most hyped acts to watch.
Divorce — Nottingham’s genre-blurring heartbreakers blend indie pop, country twang, and confessional lyricism with irresistible honesty.
L.A. Witch — Psychedelic garage rock dripping with reverb and danger; the trio’s live sets are pure noir-desert energy.
Spoon Benders — A Portland favorite channeling hypnotic psych-rock, snarling fuzz, and a wild stage presence.
The Velveteens — Boise’s own indie darlings return with swagger, hometown charm, and melodies that shimmer like summer nights.
Yuuf — Dreamy, lo-fi bedroom pop that feels like floating — one of the festival’s quietest yet most enchanting discoveries.
Each one embodies the essence of Treefort: fearless, original, and bursting with personality.
Laughter, Local Flavor, and More to Come
Treefort’s creative spirit extends far beyond the music. Comedyfort will be headlined this year by Hannibal Buress and Joe Pera, two of the most distinct voices in contemporary comedy. Tickets for their individual sets go on sale October 18 at 10 a.m. MT.
Of course, the full Treefort experience sprawls across Boise’s downtown, encompassing dozens of “forts” — from Dragfort and Filmfort to Kidfort, Storyfort, and Hackfort — turning the city into a living, breathing playground for creativity.
A Festival Still Rooted in Discovery
Since its 2012 debut, Treefort has built a reputation as one of the most inclusive and imaginative festivals in the U.S., mixing national headliners with local legends and emerging acts. It’s a space where you can catch a chart-topping indie artist one hour and stumble upon your new favorite band in a basement bar the next.
With this first lineup drop, Treefort 2026 already feels electric — an eclectic, global, heart-driven celebration that perfectly captures Boise’s creative soul.
Passes for Treefort Music Fest 2026 are available now. More lineup announcements are coming soon, but if this first wave is any indication, Boise better start warming up those dancing shoes — it’s going to be a wild one.
