This Sunday, May 18th 2025, Bangalow’s A&I Hall is set to ignite with a day stocked full of intoxicating live acts, immersive art, tasty drinks, mouth-watering food & diverse pop-up stalls. Brought together by the forces of Messy Fuzz, Red Belly Records and New Brain Communications, “Brain Fuzz Belly Fest”, is an amalgamation of sound ranging from Lismore, Burleigh Heads, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, and even Santa Cruz California.
The festival is also partnered with local favourites, The Spangled Drongo, who will be slinging
their crowd favorite beers and everything else to quench your thirst.

Headlining the day are Couch Wizard, hailing from the psychedelic hills of Bundjalung Country NSW, the 4 piece’s sets are described by Triple J Unearthed to “take listeners on an eerie, theatrical journey through time and space”. The Wizard’s sound takes heavy inspiration from the likes of Black Sabbath, Heavy Trip, Pink Floyd, Hobo Magic, and Graveyard. The rest of the acts are all ready to bring their own unique presence to the stage, the full lineup includes - Fungas, Return to Nagoya, Liminal, The Med Heads, Champion Ruby, Flight to Dubai, Happy F*cking Family, and Brave Daisy. A surprise set from female DJ collective, The Fem Cartel, are also going to be taking over the bathroom (literally) to provide some killer beats.
Alongside the action-packed day, they’ve also announced an array of pop-up stalls to explore while you bask in the tunes. Sea Snake Design will be showcasing his unique style on a collection of printed hats and tees, Ballina-based store, Fortunate Son Records, will be offering an amazing selection of their vinyl stock. In addition, Benjo Kazue will have a bunch of incredibly creative zines for sale, and you can also pop by the merch stall to grab your favourite tees and records from “merch girl queen” and photographer Lainiey George!
Doors open from 1pm, so get ready to stay late and take in the experience.
