Kicking off the Australian leg of their “Do It” tour, PUP graced Brisbane’s Princess Theatre amidst a rainy Friday evening with a completely sold out show.
Indie-rock duo from South Australia, Teenage Joans, opened up the night with intoxicating energy, darting around the stage and absolutely igniting the crowd before them.
Emerging from the abyss of the theatre’s stage, Toronto punk rockers PUP let rip with the first few tracks from their latest album “Who Will Look After The Dogs?”, “No Hope” and “Olive Garden” sent the sweaty mosh into insanity. “The world sucks right now… now more than ever”, lead Stefan Babcock exclaimed, as he encouraged the audience to make the most of the night in spite of this.

PUP songs are truly made to be roared along to, “DVP”, “Sleep in The Heat”, “Kids’, and “Paranoid”, provoked that sense of community so prevalent in Brisbane’s hardcore scene.
It’s always amusing seeing Canadian bands play to Aussie audiences, and vice versa - the likeness in the crowd’s passion is so familiar, and the moshing/crowdsurfing antics are certainly on the same level.
Presented by XIII Touring & Destroy All Lines, PUP continues the “Do It” tour through Australia this August.
