As the main act of the Brass Wiesn on Saturday August 2nd, another Austrian band took the stage and stole the hearts of hundreds of fans. For 10 years Pizzera & Jaus have been on stage, performing their music intertwined with cabaret shows and really brought their voices, humour and good vibes to a huge crowd that’s been anticipating their performance at Brass Wiesn festival 2025.

They shared a tribute to artists who are no longer with us by playing songs like ‚Mr. Vain‘ from Culture Beat or ‚Wake Me Up‘ from Avicii, making everyone a bit nostalgic and some even teary eyed.

They kept the balance between ballads, rock songs and humorous jokes. Pizzera & Jaus performed bangers like ‚hooligans’ where everyone jumped and screamed in union.

During their hit ‚… danke, gut!‘ Pizzera joked about the attention being on the crowd and him feeling a bit neglected by Jaus, who then turned to him and shared a kiss with him. As the crowd was clapping and cheering Pizzera went on to say „a good swimmer knows both shores“, as in experiencing both male and female sexual/romantical interactions makes someone a good lover.

During the bridge „Sie müssen ihrem Leben einen Sinn geben“ of the song ‚eine ins leben‘ the fans screamed back the lyrics ‚An Scheiß muass i‘ and celebrated the independency and free will that this song embodies. Fan favourites like ‚Zirkusprinz’, ‚kaleidoskop’ and ‚absätze > hauptsätze‘ got played, with fan flashlights in the air, arms hugged and drinks shared.

A huge surprise was when the two men show became a whole lot more with additional help of the A-Capella band „Das Wird Super“, and a true accordion legend „Da Waitler“. They partly accompanied Pizzera & Jaus through the evening, with beat box performer Raphael Schall and made this amazing show even more memorable. For a cover of Coldplay‘s ‚Viva La Vida‘ the A-Capella ensemble came back and together they gave the song a whole new folk music vibe.

All in all the evening was filled with singing fans, who danced their way through the mud of the rainy festival days, with no care in the world and a heart filled with beats, lyrics, love and united connection for music.
