Camryn Montebruno is a photographer based in Toronto, Ontario working primarily in and around music scenes and the cultures that exist around them. They have worked with local and touring artists in Toronto and their hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba and have photographed shows in basements, union halls, stadiums, and everywhere in between. The are a regular contributor to Penny Mag, Sad Punk Press, and the Aquarian Weekly, have contributed work to RANGE Magazine and Northern Transmissions, and have had a byline in Vogue. In 2022 they graduated with an honours BFA from the University of Manitoba, where their practice focused on the relationship between materiality and memory in photography.

I graduated from Photo School in Munich in 2022 with an award for my final project, but picked up my first camera many years before that. Of course I've learned a lot since then and put a lot of work and ambition into what started once as a hobby (and still fills my heart with joy). I love many aspects of photography and videography: capturing special moments on stage, backstage, on holidays or in everyday live. My main focus are portraits and live events, but I also do creative projects, travel and documentary photography. I'm happy to experiment and try fun new ideas! It’s been a literal decade since I started this journey. We started from the bottom with a basic $400 Nikon, taking pics of moody buildings and trees, but now we’re here rocking a canon EOS RP with a thick 24-70 on top. 📸 I absolutely love traveling and I’ve checked 20 countries off the list so far, but the wanderlust is real and the bucket list is still huge. 🌏
