ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Red (they/them), a 31-year-old photographer and photojournalist from Boston, MA. I started college in NYC on a photo scholarship, but I had to drop out due to the crazy living costs and some health issues. I returned to Boston, worked as a bartender and server for about ten years, and eventually completed my degree in Gender and Sexuality Studies in 2021. Last year, I decided to get back into professional photography, and now I'm here!

I've always had a thing for capturing live local music and Northeast punk shows, which I've been into since I was a teen. Besides gig photography, I like shooting community events and fun portraits, and my absolute favorite—anything spooky and scary!!!

I aim to work as a staff photographer for a news agency and use my skills to create meaningful and honest news coverage for my community. Outside of photography, I'm a locally-based activist and volunteer, supporting organizations like Planned Parenthood, GLSEN, One Fair Wage, and more.

I cater to bands, artists, and social optimists. My audience is broke, and so am I. 🫶

Thanks for coming to my Red Talk!!
